Vintage Pietro piano accordion for sale

Post by snooziluci » Fri Apr 20, 2018 11:16 am

Beautiful vintage piano accordion "squeezebox"
Made by Pietro.

Lovely mother of pearl style inlaid keyboard with red inlay
60 bass buttons
Leather shoulder straps
Straps at sides to hold the accordion closed.
Sliding register at the front

Complete with original hard travelling case
In nice condition and carefully stored.

Was mother's (it still plays nicely) but sadly, I can't play and don't have room to keep it.

Do ask if you'd like more photos, or have any questions and I'll do my best to answer (as a non-expert!) ; - )

£95 or sensible offers, please.

Assuming it is in playable shape, I'm certain you would get more than £95 pounds of value from it (in terms of enjoyment, quality of life, etc.) if you learned to play it rather than sold it.

Something to think about! :-)

Thank you Jeff.
Yes it’s quite playable and a lovely instrument. Trouble is that I have a full-on job, two small kids and little musical talent. Hence sad sale...

Hello Lucy,

I'm sorry that circumstances demand that you sell this nice little instrument, as it is about the perfect size for someone to learn on.

I share Jeff's sentiment with regard to keeping your Mother's old accordion, and ask that you at least consider the possibility of keeping it in the family.

Accordions last remarkably well, and you may well find a little more time when your children get a bit older. Alternatively, hand them the TV remote while you are practising. Or, better still, involve them in some way.

You never quite know, you may have a musical dynasty on your hands.

Kind Regards,

Stephen.

(And you don't need musical talent. Or rather, what most people call "talent" is mostly just the result of applied passion--the end result of learning and practice.)
