I suppose I'm rather infamous for posting stuff that only I appreciate, and the posts are embellished with a lot of useless historical and background info.

Well, I found this French guy by accident, and you'll be glad to know that I know absolutely nothing about him whatsoever. He seems to play in various line ups, including the two in these clips.

IMHO the modern accordion scene needs more players like this, who are able to play anything from South American to Balkan to jazz. Some of the bands he plays with are a bit too off the wall (even for me).

Here he is with Choro de Aksak, who play a lot of different styles. This sounds like jazz to me but I don't care what it is, as I think it's great.
