Old style musette from Belgium

Post by maugein96 » Sun Aug 12, 2018 10:36 pm

These days the older style of musette seems to be more common in the north of France and Belgium.

Here's a modern tune, given the old fashioned "musette pur", Belgian style.

And another straight off the back of a "draaiorgel" (barrel organ)

Not to everyone's taste perhaps, but get near a player with a big volume box like that and you can't help but get the vibe (as the lenses in your spectacles shatter!)

Eric Theuninck from Mouscron/Moeskroen made one or two albums over 30 years ago, and his father Lucien was a pro player.
